Thanks to all that reply, I can't tell you how much I appreciate the help.Steinberg Cubase 6.5 Upgrade from Cubase Studio 4 or 5 allows existing users of Steinberg Cubase Studio 4 or 5, update to the latest version - Cubase 6. And its weird, because I read a review of Maximus on SoundOnSound, where the dude successfully uses it in Cubase. Once I did that, if I remember correctly, evrything was available then.

dll files over from the Image-Line folder into the Vstplugin folder located at: C:\Program Files(86x)\Vstplugins. When I first ran Cubase, I chose the menu option that lists all available plugins and only Steinberg stuff was there.? Being that I was (and still am) in the learning process, I wasn't sure what to do but then I thought. Originally, when I first got Cubase, I new there were many FL plugins that I could use in the program, part of why I bought it (not that I don t use FL also). After that, it seems like as soon as I would adjust either the 'attack', 'release' or 'threshold' knobs everything would freeze.? Then I'd have to shut down and reload Cubase.Īnother thing, if this helps. I would load it into a Master insert-slot to be used as a basic limiter, I would click "comp off" on the Low/Mid/Hi bands in order to leave the Master section open to limit. If this matters, this is exactly what I was trying to do with Maximus when freezing up: the error code dialog-box that comes up I've pasted to a. ending in ctrl+alt+del, and a red error-code box appears with yes / no buttons. Unfortunately though, it still doesn't work and causes the computer to freeze. Following this update, the plugin actually fully loaded and now the Maximus interface was visible. I did however download the latest Maximus version 1.0.9, thereby updating from 1.0.8. it would just be a blank grey box when I'd try to access the plugin. Originally (prior to 6.5 upgrade), when loading Maximus into Cubase, the plugin interface would not even show up. I recently upgraded to Cubase 6.5 and tried 'again' to utilize the FL Maximus plugin however, I am still unable to get it to function.
